Bio/About Me

I began my drum set studies at age seven. Originally, I was trained as a classical/symphonic snare drum student. After two years of intensive lessons involving technique, fundamentals and sight reading development, I moved up to the drum set. In middle school, I was involved in concert and theatre band. In high school, I was active in marching, jazz and concert band. I attended music college in Los Angeles, where I continued my development. Ive been teaching privately in the Orange County area since 1992. I pride myself on a simple and effective teaching method. Most of my students have been with me for an average of six years. Many of them continue onto four year colleges and or universities.
